Coursebook provides us with a structured, planned material but authentic ones are good for real life like experiences. For low-level students like my students, authentic ones can be a bit too fast. Using both according to need is more convenient for me. 
Developing active listening skills in my classrooms can be done by first explaining them to students. Learning the effective way of doing a pair work or any type of listening activity would change their listening skills and increase their interest. They feel their English level is not enough for speking. They are reluctant to do speaking tasks. By using the ideas from today I am sure that they would feel less nervous. We talked about a game named "mistake game". It gives the idea that you can make mistakes, It is normal and you are not the only one.

I would prepare some pre-reading task for it though. I could pre-teach vocabulary for low-level students. Make them watch a music video of Norah Jones, giving every paragraph to a different group and then jigsaw the information can be done for pre-reading tasks. True or false task is given and easy to use we can use it for while-reading activity. For post-reading activity we can do the fill in the chart part and also they can try to write different lyrics for the same song that we listened for pre-reading task (just for the chorus). They can write the advantages and disadvantages of being a famous musician as a post-reading task. 
For difficult and long texts, dividing the text to the groups and giving them each one paragraph to read and analyze and then grouping them again and make everyone tell their part is really useful for the teachers in my district. Constructing sentences is really hard for some of the students so short texts is better for them. Writing texts short but regularly could increase their skill. Writing without worrying about errors would make them feel less pressured. 
Teaching writing is something that teachers mostly don't like. Uninterested students, writing tasks that are for higher level learners and not having enough time is making it less desirable. Digitalizing the writing tasks could change the teachers attitude and I think they would really like the ideas that we discussed in the class today. I especially like the CCQs. Making students understand the meaning from the questions could be more valuable because they discover the meaning themselves. Controlled, guided and freer activities can be used for different types of lessons, activities and levels. I also feel that we should give pronunciation more importance. It is generally ignored in our schools. 
Teaching grammar is seen necessary but boring. Because of this reason teachers would want to learn fun and new ways of teaching grammar. Resistance for learning grammar rules can be an issue also. Younger teachers are likely to use the implicit way of teaching but older teachers use traditional ways of teaching. Tips for teaching vocab from Thornbury was also really helpful for creating a frame for us. 
Making it fun and digitalized is really important and if we want the words to be in their long-term memory we should increase the encounters with interesting activities. Learning the other teachers' experiences, engaging with them makes you look the whole teaching process differently. Ankara facilitators would be in contact via WhatsApp. I would like to have a meeting with them to discuss our ideas and share our knowledge. Helping each other is necessary for creating a solid community. 
Today's afternoon sessions were really helpful for us to learn how to plan a PDC meeting. Planning is the hardest part as I have learned today. When planning a PDC meeting, there are some issues to be taken into consideration.
