If you can interweave the two things together nicely, you will succeed…. Believe me, it seems to be simple when I talk about it, but when you really do it, it is very complicated, subtle, and takes a lot of time. It is easy to be an elementary school teacher, but it is difficult to be a good elementary school teacher.

In my class of P3 it is still easy because the lessons are still basic but even though it is basic I sill have a handful of students are struggling with basic math concepts. This is the difficult part.

Everyone expects you to be an expert on everything, but you can only have a certain amount of general knowledge. You are expected to make things work by executive who are very out of touch with current teaching because they no longer teach and are never around when you need them. Ideas/Instructions are constantly thrown at you and you are expected to implement them, even though they just don't work in combination with others. Fun because  these sweet little kids will really treat their teacher as their role models. It is challenging because  they need to understand the concepts in the way according to their level of thinking. We think that as adults we need to think of strategies  that our kids can easily understand these concepts.
