I think that Ganwar and Kek always had an invisible connection. Now though the farm brings them together.

I think Ganwar feels more belonging now. I think its different then Kek though. Kek feels belonging because of the cow and school. Ganwar feels belonging because he feels equal to Kek now that he has the same job as Kek.

Kek feels at home on the farm he relates with gol and ganwar they are all scared mentally and fisicliiy I think kek will value the farm like he valued schooling and I think Hannahs friendship

I think the quote is important because it is saying that don’t not do something because you are afraid of a little fear. This could be showing that a character isn’t doing something because they’re afraid of the result. I think this character is Ganwar. I think this because hi is not good at doing thee right thing. He might have a good reason. This makes me realize that he Might not have a good influence with his mother always away. Maybe Kek could be the good influence.

I think it is important that the ESL group voted for gol as the cow’s name ,because it shows that family is important to them as well. It also shows that they understand Kek ,because they have had similar experiences to Kek

It seems that Ganwar obviously hates America.I think he even makes bad decisions intentialy even though he knows he shouldnt.But now with the influence of Kek he is starting to like this new country.

For me naming the cow Gol (family) is symboling that the cow is sorta like another family member to Kek cause his family’s falling apart and he rarely gets to see them.

I think that even though Kek is the main character the different parts of the story may be relating to Ganwar. For example in part 1 Ganwar is very pessimistic about everything, in part 2 he is still not optimistic, but not as much of a pessimist. Now in part 3 he is actually a little optimistic about some things, I think this will continue happing in the parts of the book. The reason he is becoming more optimistic is because of Kek and how kind he is to him. Kek got Ganwar a job at the farm because he knew that Gol would make him happy.

I noticed that Katherine Applegate begins of the story when Kek was looking at the trees and thoughts that his mom was not dead earthier. I think the reason why the author did that was to show you early on that Kek try’s to find hope in every thing.
