         <title>Alligator Newt</title>

It feeds on earthworms, spiders and insects.&nbsp; It is endangered, due mainly to habitat loss.<br> A female alligator newt lays just  one egg at a time. The alligator newt has toxic skin secretions.          <title>Cane toad</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Cane toad hatches from an egg laid in water, begins its life as a tadpole, and eats insects. Cane toads have poison that can kill animals that try eating them. It lays from 4,000 to 36,000 eggs at a time in the water.  Tadpoles hatch from the eggs within about three days. As tadpoles, cane toads eat algae and other plants that grow in water.          <title>Spotted salamanders</title>

It must be in water to survive until it develops into the adult salamander form, which takes from 60 to 90 days.
