It was enjoyable to meet the new CVAs for this year and get the insight of some previous CVAs. Now that I know more detailed facts and policies that go along with the CVA position, I feel more aware of how to accomplish the Centennial goals we have set for Jean Lafitte National Historical Park & Preserve. I found it very valuable to hear everyone's stories and their personal journeys that brought them to their current positions in whichever agencies they currently work for whether it be a position with SCA, NPS, or a Partnering agency. July is HERE! Already?! I can't believe how fast time passes. The last time I posted I was just getting back from Valley Forge, and now I've successfully led VIP groups in service projects, made soap with regency home economics and worked a week of summer camp.
