This play has a very lively and lighthearted tone that resonates with all types of audiences. The set can be simple, extravagent or in between. For a nice balance, I believe a set that is in between extravegent and simple will settle with the audience the best. In a play like this, visuals will come across really well. There are various locations in this place, so to cope with that I believe we should have two wall platforms. These wall platforms would be moveable so that we could show both sides of them. On one side, it would be painted to resemble a school. With bright, fun colors and shelving we would be able to show the audience the young vibe of the play. On the other side of the wall platforms, they would be painted to represent the main character's bedrooms. Using bright colors and our talent tech, we will be able to help keep the audience is a playful state of mind. The other main set piece would be either a cubby that could be moved to resemble a bed, or cubes. This would allow for storage in the school scenes, and help give off a more room-y effect when we are in the bedroom scene. For the rest of the set, I was thinking that we could use many miscellanous items like rugs, toys, inspirational posters, chairs/beanbags etc. I was mainly thinking this because these are things we see in both classrooms and bedrooms for young children. That would make the transitions from school to home more efficient. I also do not envision any school desks in the set. Desks would take up a lot of space where action could be held. Instead, I envision the children sitting on a carpet or mat whenever they having to do learning. Personally, I feel like a projector with look out of place with our set ideas, unless we put it in between the two platform walls. But then this brings up a problem of if turning the platforms would conflict with the projector. 
^ To go along with this, if we did not have the projector, what would we fill the transition scene with? I was thinking this would be a good time to really showcase the band and their talent, but i'm not completely sure how to make it flow with the story yet. 
-Getting props offstage: I envision having the wall platforms and cubbies that can transform into somewhat of a bed be our main stage pieces. Everything else could be miscellaneous items like toys, rugs, inspirational posters, and a couple cubes or bean bags for the kids to sit on. If we do have a lot of small items, it could become a hassle getting things offstage. 
-Exiting: the final scene ends in Katie and Sam meeting under a parachute.
