"She could see in the open square before her house the tops of trees that were all aquiver with the new spring life. The delicious breath of rain was in the air" (Chopin pg 1) This imagery could show new beginnings for Mrs. Mallard after the death of her husband

"but she felt it, creeping out of the sky, reaching towards her through the sounds, the sents, the color that filled the air" (Choping pg 2) This creates a visualization o how Louise was slowly starting to realize that she now has freedom and Independence

"Knowing that Mrs.Mallard was afflicted with a heart trouble, great care was taken to break to her as gently as possible the news of her husbands death" (Chopin pg 1) In the beginning of the story the author gives out information about a heart condition Mrs.Mallard has. This could foreshadow the ending of the story because later on she dies due to her heart condition which is why it is relevant to know about her heart condition.

"She breathed a quick prayer that life might be long" this sentence could be a foreshadow for the outcome of the story because Louise had already been described as young so there would be no reason for her to pray to have a long life. Despite her short prayer though she did not end up lasting long after that
