In my assessment 2 on country visit I went to the neighborhood wet land, and I engaged in the environment using my all senses. Then I've noticed the purple swamphen family and their dramatic movements. So, I planned to connect our children to the nature. Also, encourage and give them opportunity to be free in the bushes but with the supervision. I am encouraging and supporting them to listen, feel, smell, look actively and live present moment.

Life is full of drama. We are engaging with this dramatic movements every day. Children engaged in collaborative, imaginative creative play in this activity. They also used their motor skills (physical strength) to break, pick and carry the old wooden sticks and branches from the trees. They jumped in the muddy puddle to make the chocolate sauce to gather.

Children also share their ideas, knowledge and previous experiences in their life share with others.

In this age group children exhibit major transformations in imaginative play. They make-believe play evolves from simple imitation of adult's action (Adena B, Meyers, Laura E, Berk 2014) page 2. In this experience we can witness children engaged in sociodramatic play with peers. Erikson (1950) expanded Freud's vision, proposing that fantasy play enables young children to explore potential roles in their social world.

Through playful opportunities to act independently of what they see; children increasingly use through to overcome impulses and choose deliberately among alternative courses of action.

What went as expected??

All of the 19 children had an amazing experience in the bush. They have enjoyed the mud, and they all covered in mud at the end. Some of children were said that they want to spend more time in the bush.

At the end of the session all children were super tired. But they all present and enjoyed the moment in the natural environment. All the children were connected with the environment.

What did not go as expected

Some children were super tired. When we came back, we had to help children to change their muddy clothes. But most of the children are capable to do them by themselves. It was a busy time, and we all had to work very hard, make sure everything goes in right bags etc.

What might you do differently next time?

We do the early explores at least two days per fortnight. Then children are more organized and routinised for the play. We can explore different area next time. There is a little hill area with some lower bushes and trees in that environment. So, children can extend their interest.

How might you use this growth in your future practice of early childhood education.

Add more natural open-ended materials in the indoor and outdoor environment. Encourage children's imaginary, pretend play and fantasy play.

Furthermore, I would plan activities according to child's interests to enhance their overall development.

Music is one of his interests so, I thought this experience will help to develop his musical skills. In my assessment 2 I have discussed about natural sounds in the environment water makes sounds when the wind blow fast, trees make noises, if we actively listen to the environment, we can hear so many sounds, music and noises. So, I extend his interest with music and sounds.

In this experience my son making sounds tapping to the bottles and along with the music he started singing. He engaged in some music and songs to express his feelings and emotions. He sang his favorite song " life is a highway". He made it high sometimes and low tunes.

When he played the instrument or singing, he was free he didn't care about what others think or who is listening to him. He made the music very confidence and freely.

singing make Nathan calm in this rainy-day indoor environment, he was bit upset as he couldn't go outdoor and play. But after these experiences his feeling healed and he felt happy. It is incredible how these few materials entangle together and make such a creative experience to develop young children's musical skills.

According to Victor wooten's speech and his knowledge, music is a language. Children start learning music when they are very young. Also, he stated that music helps to build a good listener.

We have to listen to their musical language and respond to it. In my future practice, I will be implementing more natural environment to make opportunities and of course open-ended materials. I will be giving more freedom to children to express themselves their emotions and feeling through the experiences.

After I watched the " Lake cowal bird dance" and the story behind it inspired to do my experience outdoor area, again connecting with nature, enjoying the sunshine. As per Our first nation Aboriginal traditional owners' perspectives if we all respect and connect to the land, we can have a better life. We need to listen all the movements of animals, trees, rivers, sea, sun and people. They have story to tell us.

Nathan and Melody have this opportunity to spend their time with me this morning relaxing their bodies meanwhile enjoying the nature and getting lots of vitamin D from the sun. They were free and they shared some ideas and knowledge with me during the experience. They discussed about how birds are balancing their bodies and flying in the sky.

They also talked with me about how it's body movements important in our life. Yoga is a relaxation experience as well as building their flexibility of muscles, balance and coordination and also mindfulness. It supports attentiveness to how they are feeling and help develop self-awareness (dance teaching ideas, 2024)

Melody forgot her hat at her home.

What might you do it different next time?

I can continue more challenging ones for the children according to their age. Develop and build up stories with yoga e.g pirate ship, day in the sea, day in the jungle. It's going to be interesting and more attractive when we add some stories or games into the play.

How might you use this growth in your future practice of early childhood practice?

Introducing some movements experiences indoor and outdoor program every day. I will Continue the same activity for few times for a week to make it consistent and build Children's confidence.

And also beginning of the unit for me movements is just more dancing but now I have realized it's all about movements and drama what happening around us.

And also, I would like to listen to children, and we collaboratively plan and implement activities for them as per their interests.

After exploring this unit my perspective of music, movement and drama changed a lot. As we practice most of them in the centre I haven't had deep understanding of the reasons behind them.

As part of our program, we are doing early explores its bit similar to bush kinder. But we have our own bush area around our centre we call it early explorers.

Now I can more encourage and support children to connect them into the nature and let them feel we are part of nature. How to interact with nature positively. And how to look after, listen and respect to our environment.

In my future practice I would like to bring open ended materials for children's imaginative play.

I know how these things important in children's learning journey.

I look forward to bringing all these my learning of music, drama, and movements to children for their overall development.
