         <description><![CDATA[<p>This reflection is structured using the Rolfe Reflective model (Rolfe et al, 2001).</p><p><br/></p><p>What?</p><p><br/></p><p>This project required us to work as Marketing Consultants for a chosen brand out of the given assignment brief. My group chose to focus on Future Fashion Fair, answering their guidelines to reach a new audience and engage them in the conversation of sustainability. We worked together to develop an event launch that would be beneficial to the brand, enhancing our understanding of the roles we would be assigned in industry. Through communication, teamwork and a joint effort, we refined our skills in marketing planning , creative design, strategy and ensuring we answer the objectives. My assigned roles included:</p><p><br/></p><ul><li><p>Leading and executing creative layout decisions </p></li><li><p>Setting marketing objectives</p></li><li><p>Overviewing FFF </p></li><li><p>Conjuring a customer profile</p></li><li><p>Detailing marketing plans, both digital and non</p></li><li><p>Metrics</p></li><li><p>Concluding the group work</p></li></ul><p><br/></p><p>So What?</p><p><br/></p><p>This consultancy project made me realise what areas I excel in within a group setting. Prior to this assignment, I found taking charge in a group to be challenging, but now I can lead with confidence and efficiency. This was particularly prevalent in assigning roles and ensuring everyone had their share of work completed in due time. Taking a role that was more authoritative familiarised me with the type of role a marketing manager would possess, this insight was highly beneficial in developing my leadership skills. At the time it seemed overwhelming, but in hindsight I am grateful to have agreed as it intensely helped me. It also allowed for ease and clear communication within the group if we had any concerns with one another.</p><p>My strongest suit was in creatively organising the project alongside another team member. By joining our creativity , we were able to create a project that is not only cohesive in its content, but in the way it is visually presented. Creativity in the role of a marketeer is vital; it keeps ideas and prospects fresh and exciting, an ever-important need within the fashion industry. </p><p>Being genuinely interested in Future Fashion Fair allowed me to fully immerse myself in the details of the campaign. By assessing job roles, a vital part of the requirements is an authentic enthusiasm in the field the brand specialises in, whether that is jewellery, clothes or a social focus like metal health or sustainability. Having an interest in sustainability therefore gave me a bigger passion for the brand event planning.</p><p>Whilst I improved the way I work in a group, areas to improve include my time management and educating myself on how to budget in an accurate way; both skills are very important to the role of a marketing consultant. Working in a group is a challenging task in itself so being able to learn off each other ultimately makes the task easier and a more enjoyable experience for all.</p><p><br/></p><p>Now What?</p><p><br/></p><p>Following the assessment of my strengths and weaknesses, I can take these qualities and begin to enhance and improve on them. I intend to improve the way I work time-wise by setting myself more deadlines and by motivating myself. In my next months at university I will seek guidance in how to budget marketing plans in order to ensure accuracy. I will also begin to search for graduate entry level jobs, applying the key skills I have acquired throughout my time at university and my extra-curriculum activities. </p><p><br/></p><p>Overall, the role of a Marketing Consultant is significant in helping companies understand their customer through effective campaigns (Bika, N. 2016). This module has allowed me to gain insight into the details of this job, ultimately aiding me in what to expect as I enter industry.</p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
