The North Carolina Animal Welfare Coalition protested the circus and the use of animals as entertainment on the ECU campus. They said animals were not housed or treated properly, and since they could not speak for themselves humans had to.

Many people have realized the cruelty behind our eggs. The fate of a baby chick is determined by it's gender. If it is a male, it will be sent to get killed. If it is a female, they are seized and taken to have their beak cut off without any anesthetic. People are taking notice and are trying to tell people the truth behind our eggs and how we can help to stop this horrible situation.

The PETA organization showed up in coyote masks and signs that stated, "Trading in lives   is bad for business" to protest against the use of coyote fur and goose feathers. Select farms in Kamrar, Iowa are being protested for improper farrowing houses for swine. The pigs and piglets are forced into small farrowing crates just big enough to lay down in for exsesive amonts of time. The pigs bite at the pens and which plays a big roll in their health, because sore and othher abseses can form. Oogy is a dog that was abused then rescued. Oogy was in pretty bad shape before Noah and Dan got him. Oogy was tied up to a sake and was use as bait for a pit bull. He also only weighted 20 when they got him. The left side of Oogy's face was tore off including his ear.
