As the America entered WWI in 1917, John J. Pershing was appointed commander in chief of the AFE to help the Allied Powers. His fellow soldiers were killed in combat and he was alone. He sniped some 17 German soldiers. Seven noticed that he was alone and decided to take the opportunity and charge him. He killed all with just a pistol. With the aid of a capture German Major, he brought back 132 prisoners.
