Considered the most famous soldiers to come out of WWI, Alvin York was best remembered for his part in the attack of Agonne Forest. His fellow soldiers were killed in combat and he was alone. He sniped some 17 German soldiers. Seven noticed that he was alone and decided to take the opportunity and charge him. He killed all with just a pistol. With the aid of a capture German Major, he brought back 132 prisoners. An amazing feat.
