         <description><![CDATA[<div>Harper Lee uses the setting to show that Jem and Scout learn about discrimination and how their town works.</div><ul><li>When Tom Robinson was killed, some people though it was a good thing because he was falsely accused of raping a white woman but some thought it was bad because he did nothing.</li><li>When Miss.Gates said that it was wrong to put Jewish people in Concentration Camps but she agreed with what happened to Tom Robinson.</li><li>Discrimination and Segregation: The Ewells hated the black people. the Cunninghams hated the Ewells and middle class people hated the Cunninghams. </li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Harper lee uses structure to develop the theme by putting the events in order to help the characters grow up.</li><li>At the beginning, Harper Lee depicts Scout was a little girl but by the end she had matured and gained more knowledge about what is around her.&nbsp;</li><li>In the climax, Boo Radley saved Scout and Jem from Bob Ewell killing them.&nbsp;</li><li>Jem is affected by the trial because at the beginning he didn't know much about the society that he was living in and at the ending he knew enough to decide that the society he was living in was wrong.</li><li>This represents a positive and negative view of people and the society.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Harper Lee uses conflict to help the kids grow up and learn to overcome hardships.&nbsp;</div><ul><li>Jem(external)- Jem was attacked by Bob Ewell. He was effected by Tom Robinson's trial by holding in his thoughts and emotions on the trial (internal). Jem was almost shot by Mr. Radley (external).</li><li>Scout(Internal)- Scout grew up without a mother figure; she also had to learn to stop fighting. An internal conflict would be when Scout was trying to figure out who Boo Radley was.</li></ul>]]></description>
