After being transferred to a public school at a young age, I never had that special teacher that would go beyond and find a way to let the best in me shine. So during my university years I always knew what kind of teacher I wanted to be and I was determined to try my best to be one of the best.

Before VESS, my first job experience was just being a typical teacher working at a basic preschool that would only praise teacher directed things. For almost 3 years I was part of a place that only sucked out the best of me and made me believe I could not go beyond for my students.

I found VESS thanks to a colleague I met during my past path. Being part of VESS has shown me that I can go beyond for my students! I can teach them in the most holistic way and instill the love for learning that I want them to take for life. VESS has made me open my eyes and see what real learning is all about.
