I doubt anyone put their heads together to figure out why such gender bias originated. Women are usually given the task of driving when it’s absolutely unavoidable. There is always a father, brother, husband or a paid driver, who becomes your chauffeur and picks you up from dance classes, yoga classes, gym or even birthday parties. Its all about the practice. I don't if its an ideal example here but this a basic prejudicial statement that should be changed with practice from the place where I come from i.e., India.
