Brandon makes a fort for him and his puppy. He makes himself the captain and makes the puppy the guard dog. Brandon's mom calls him to ask if hes hungry and Brandon says he wants to eat in his room because he made a fort. However Katie his younger sister wanted to join him which made him irritated. He yelled out to his mom he didn't wanna eat with a little girl, because he was the captain of his fort, and he didn't wanna leave the little puppy all alone.

Brandon makes his fort, but his mom wants him to eat dinner with his family. He says he wants to eat in his room. Katie asks if she can eat with Brandon, but he says no. Katie and their mom eat together in the kitchen, meanwhile Brandon eats in his fort with the puppy.

The puppy makes a lot of noise upstairs, Brandon tries to hide it and starts imitating barking noises. Brandon's dad asks why he is barking, suspicious, and Brandon plays it off by saying he's playing. Brandon goes back to his room, happy that no one has found out about the dog.

His mom calls him down to eat but refuses. Brandon's dad insists that he comes down to eat with the president (His dad). He is nervous about abandoning the dog. He is forced to put the puppy in the closet. The dog is very unhappy about this. Brandon goes downstairs to eat with his family.
