Nationalism
Surging nationalism of Serbian Slavs was a growing threat to Austro- Hungarian Empire.
Germany & America along with the rest of the world had this growing pride in their country and military advances. An example of this is the slogan "The American Way" showed off that the American way was what everyone had to grow to achieve. Men who didn't join the war to defend America were shamed since it was viewed as their duty to defend their country. Similarly in Britain women would give men who didn't join the war white feathers, stripping them of their dignity. Another example of this nationalism in Germany is the superiority in being German killing Jewish that didn't express this 'blonde hair blue eyes' super race he wanted as the face of Germany. Nationalism led to the growing want for independence in nations like Bulgaria, Romania, and Serbia.

The problem was America was running out of money and the government took charge of most companies, where women became employed, and instead of machines making everyday products they made weaponry and equipment for the men over seas in factories.

Military leaders in Japan gained control after The Great Depression which led to extreme nationalism and Militarism. Economic problems in Japan were solved through military expansions ( Pacific Empire) that would provide raw materials and markets. The Japanese army seized Manchuria's coal and Iron then built factories in order to extract wealth. Chinese colonies were also conquered by the Japanese army. Italy attempted to Conquer Ethiopia which Britain let happen to prevent disagreements, giving into aggression similarly to when Hitler deified laws when crossing Rhineland and Britain along with France allowed it to happen thought in interfered with them. This growing power and flexibility Britain and France gave to these countries allowed them to grow stronger, take over, and demand more. Leading into World War 2.

The Great Depression started when the stock market crashed on October 29, 1929. This global phenomenon led to an unemployment surge universally. The U.S was producing too many expensive goods that consumer nor Europeans could afford. Germany and Austria borrowed so much from the U.S but stayed in debt. Economic networks across the Atlantic weakened. Countries exporting and trading one to two goods with America were hit hard like rubber in Asia. When the exporting of Rubber dropped so did car sales in Europe and U.S. Farmers who staked their economic lives on producing trading products also suffered from this collapse.
