         <description><![CDATA[<div>Fra "USA - identitet og historie"</div><ul><li>1882: The Chinese Exclusion Act. Lovgivningen blev underskrevet af præsident Chester A. Arthur og betød blandt andet et forbud mod immigration fra Kina i 10 år, ligesom kinesere, der allerede befandt sig i USA, ikke kunne få amerikansk statsborgerskab.</li><li>1921: Immigrationskvoter. USA's historie har budt på en række immigrationskvote-systemer, hvor et af dem blev indført i 1921. Her blev immigrationen begrænset til tre procent per befolkningsgruppe, der allerede befandt sig i USA i 1910. Det gik særligt ud over øst- og sydeuropæiske immigranter, der først i højere ankom til USA senere end eksempelvis nordeuropæerne.</li></ul>]]></description>
