The First Amendment says that the government can't stop people from practicing religion or limiting their speech. It also protects the freedom of the press, and the right to protest peacefully, and it also gives us the right to ask the government to fix problems or address problems.

The Third Amendment says that soldiers cannot stay in their homes without permission during peace. And during the war, if the soldiers stay, it has to follow the law.

The Fourth Amendment protects people from searches that are unfair and also protects them from having their property taken. The government can't search your home or belongings, or take your things, unless they have a good reason or a judge gives them a warrant.

The Fifth Amendment says you cant be charged with a serious crime unless there is enough evidence to go to trial, you cant be tried for the same crime, you cant be forced to testify against yourself in a criminal case, the government cant take your life, freedom, or property without a fair and legal process, and if the government takes your property for public use, they have to pay a fair price for your property.

The Sixth Amendment gives accused people the right that a trial must be quick and open to the public, the trial will be by a jury from the area where the crime happened, the accused must know what crim they are being charged with, the accused has the right to see and question the witnesses against them, they cant get their witness to testify for them, and they have the right to a lawyer to help defend them.

The Seventh Amendment says that in non-criminal cases you have the right to a trial by jury. Also once a jury has decided the facts of a case, no other court can change that decision, except by following legal rules.

The Eighth Amendment says that the government cant require extremely high bail, impose very large fines, or punish people in a way that is too cruel or unfair.

The Ninth Amendment means that just because a right isn't listen in the constitution doesn't mean people don't have it. People have other rights even if they arent seen in the Constitution.

The Tenth Amendment says that any powers that the constitution doesn't give to the federal government or specifically take away from the states, those powers belong to the states or the people.
