Reflective practice - where am I and how can I improve

Academics 

Professional Services Staff [really important – also as advocates] 

Content Developers [are there synergies with flexible learning project?] 

Incremental change (I.e. through templates) is important 

Need to find allies e.g. EDI, Library, Marketing 

Need to talke opportunities as they arise (e.g. COVID, Programme Revalidation, challenge of AI) 

Top-down (institution level) sponsorship is important. [A few people said this] 

We need sponsorship at Faculty / Department Level (targeted sessions work better) 

Are mandatory training courses the way to go [I wonder if there is something about leveraging existing mandatory courses?] 

Student Voice is crucial to underline and promote why this is important. Student experience is the ultimate goal. 

Student Interns – courses opt-in to work with a student to improve the accessibility of their course [A few people mentioned ‘student interns’ - in theory this could be wider than the VLE] 

Use of Ally reports can support this. 

[Other student partnership stuff – champions etc – we need to get some student champions involved asap] 

How can we use Ally institutional reports to inform what we do? 

‘Required accessibility score’ for each module - 90%
