         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>The childhood age group goes from between the ages of <strong>four</strong> to <strong>eight </strong></li><li>Children (ages 4-8): Calories needed are 1400 per day. </li><li>In regards to macro nutrients; approximately 130g of carbohydrates needed daily; 25g of fibre; approximately 19g of protein; 25g of fat. </li><li>In regards to micro nutrients; 1000 mg of Calcium daily; 10mg of iron daily; 5mg of zinc daily</li><li>In reference to the Canadian food guide, the number of servings needed daily are; <ul><li>5 servings of vegetables and fruits </li><li>4 servings of grains</li><li>2 servings of milk and alternatives</li><li>1 serving of meat and alternatives</li></ul></li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Parents/Guardians: <ul><li>Buys and prepares food for the children</li><li>Decides diet for them, major health reliance </li><li>If parents/guardians choose to live an unhealthy lifestyle there is a high chance that the children will adapt that lifestyle as well</li></ul></li><li>Friends/Classmates: <ul><li>Major social influence as they are at such a young age, want to be doing and eating what their friends/classmates are </li><li>If classmates/ friends are eating pizza than the kid is going to want to eat it as well</li></ul></li><li>Endorsements/Television: <ul><li>Not a major influence for this specific age group as they are still young</li><li>Very impressionable age group: if their favourite t.v. character is eating a specific type of food (e.g. pizza, vegetables) than the child is going to want to as well</li><li>Posters in school can influence them as well</li></ul></li></ul>]]></description>

A also great increase in technology use of younger children has a great impact on their physical activities.</li><li>Allergies: An immune reaction to a substance in the environment called an allergen. When a child with allergies comes into contact with an allergen by touch, eating it, breathing it, or injection the body views it as a dangerous invader and releases histamines and other chemicals to fight it off</li></ul>]]></description>
