Stroke is one of the most likely reasons why Anna Garcia died. Stroke is defined to be "damage to the brain from interruption of its blood supply". This was evident in Anna Garcia's case, as the CT scan showed areas of Garcia's brain where there was a lack of oxygen. Furthermore, the coloring of her toenails also indicate there could be a lack of blood in many parts of the body. This would be caused by irregular circulation of blood throughout the heart. Anna's sickle cell syndrome would perfectly match this - as her sickle-celled red blood cells would get stuck in the blood vessels and be unable to flow throughout the body. More so, there was plaque discovered during the autopsy, which would block blood vessels and prevent proper circulation. Garcia, because of her stroke, would have hit the floor very hard.

Diabetic Ketoacidosis

Acid re-flux is another possible issue that Garcia might have had. She had vomit right next to her, and without any alcohol in her body, the other theories do not control for this factor.
