St. Petersburg is a rich Russian city with a very interesting architecture, both historical and sometimes even modern places. However, in the world practice it often happens that various buildings, industrial or residential, completely eventually cease to perform its main function and often remain abandoned. At the moment, St. Petersburg can also be called rich in the part of abandoned houses standing in ruins, many of them are located in the historical center of the city and unfortunately do not have the status of cultural heritage. Sometimes it comes even to the point that the local officials adopt decrees on the demolition of these buildings, which is not always correct, individual houses with the status of cultural heritage are not as valuable for city, as the old quarters, streets and avenues in the center of the city, built in Imperial times.

A great way to «resurrect» such buildings is their reconstruction in various public spaces for recreation, entertainment, any trade and in general for everything that comes to mind. This solution is mostly relevant in the locations of old factories and plants, because production technologies evolve over time to such an extent that these plants become unprofitable and inefficient or heavily pollute the environment. About some of these places that we had a chance to visit we would like to tell.
