         <description><![CDATA[<div>Those who are opposed to nuclear power think that radioactive emissions kill people and poison the environment in a large surrounding area. While this position is popular, it is not supported by the facts. There were only 3 accidents in 50 years of nuclear history that led to 32 deaths, according to the List of nuclear accidents by death toll in 2016. However, for the field of hydro power, up to 1,400 deaths per thousand terawatt hour (statista, 2012). Besides, emergency planning zones (EPZ) have been established around each nuclear plant to protect citizens from serious accidents (NEI, n.d.)<br><br></div>]]></description>
