Rich as He was, He chose to be amongst the poor - to dine with them, to speak with them, to encourage them.

In fact, so many saints have encountered our Lord and have given up riches, just to be poor and imitate Him - St Ignatius of Loyola, St Francis of Assisi, St Clare. 

I pray that you may be given the grace (and be open to receive it) to live life with great joy - of being able to walk in the shoes of Christ, of living united with the humanity and suffering of Christ and knowing how to keep your heart fixed upon your heavenly home, with your feet on earth.  

May you take Mary into your home (your heart) and may she teach you to live with joy and edify you to continue to be a light to those around you - inspiring others' to do the same as well.
