I use to live in Albany New York which is 2-3 hours North of New York City. I was born there and I would occasionally move from city to city but all through out my life i lived in that city. Eventually me and my family moved and settled back in Albany for 3 years. I developed friendships over the course of 9 years. A lot of these friendships were younger kids, and they were foreigners who's families had barely any money, and their families weren't totally stable. I stepped in a lot and I became an older brother or father figure to them. We played loads of soccer which is the main way we developed friendships. We were all pretty much hooked on soccer. We would play in the rain, snow, day, night, didn't matter, if we heard a ball being kicked, instantly 5-10 kids were outside. So they helped me by being my closest friends and when times were tough and days were dark, they gave me purpose.

My family has been another really big influence on me. We've all faced a lot of things together, from sometimes not having enough money for certain things to moving into my grandmas house because of things that happened. So my family effected me by helping me get through things and being there for me when we all experienced things.

My mom has had the biggest impact on me by far. She really is my hero. She is the strongest women i know and has dealt with so much more than other people. I could never do what shes done for me and my siblings, she really is an angel in disguise and I will never be able to thank her enough or repay her. Theres alot more I could put here about my mom but it would take my entire lifetime.

Something some people may see as controversial or unproductive, is video games. But Video games has also had a big impact on me. I started playing games around 6-7 years ago and at the time my parents were dealing with hardships. Even though it may seem bad that I turned to video games (among other things, like soccer) Video games really help pass the time and kept me distracted. Even now when I play games it can help me with whatever I could be thinking of or just help pass the time. So video games effected me by helping me pass time and helping keeping me distracted.

Surprisingly school really had a big impact on me as well. Even though 80% I disliked the classes or just having to wake up and go through the entire routine everyday till summer, it really made me a different person every year. Of course school made me smarter (or made me feel dumber) or think faster and smarter (or made me feel slow), in a way it also made me stronger. I was bullied a majority of my life, from around 1st grade until 7th grade in middle school (occasionally by the teachers as well). I'm a very laid back guy and at the time I was too scared to stand up to anyone, or fight back. When I went into 8th grade i wasn't bullied. I made many friends and finally had a moment of realization that i shouldn't be scared to fight back and man up. After that no one bullied me. So school effected me by making me stronger and smarter.

My Father

Talking about my father is a sensitive topic for me but its one of the bigger topics on here as well. My father had or still has issues. He's faced a lot of things in his childhood and even now as an adult. From being abused as a kid, to almost going homeless as an adult. These events in his life effected my life in a way. He took out his anger and what he faced as a child, on me and my sister but he was worse on me then my sister. It was a very scary experience especially because I was young. Even after I grew up, his words and what he did still had effects on me. The idea of him still haunted me and because of that I stopped doing a lot of things. I feared him for so many years, and at one point I even confronted him about it, but that fear never went away. I decided the best way to stop being so scared of him all the time was to remove him from my life. That's what I did. So my experiences with my father made me stronger too, and helped me make the bigger decisions, such as removing a person like that from my life.

Music, like video games helped me get through a lot of my life. I've listened to different kinds of music and they all helped me in different ways. The kind of music that i listen is definitely an acquired taste. I listen to sad slow music if i'm feeling depressed, but if i'm angry i listen to upbeat yelling kind of Metal infused Rap. I listen to these kind of music genres because I feel like whoever the artist may be, I can relate to in way.
