I find it very interesting that John Surratt was sent to jail even though he had nothing to do with the assassination. I also find it interesting that everyone involved was, even though the book thinks otherwise, are ugly. The main theatre was very interesting because that was how the president looked at the play! It was awesome to see such an important place, from such an important perspective

Dear Diary,

A horrible thing happened today, The President was shot! I was watching the play Our American Cousin with my dearest Clara Harris, the President and his wife. The actor said the "You Sockdologizing old mantrap" line, and everyone was laughing, but at that moment, someone shot the president. I looked to see who it was, and it was John Wilkes Booth, the Amazing Actor!!! I tried to fight him, and I did a decent job, but he stabbed me!! He then jumped out of the box and ran, and I tried to get people to stop him, but he stabbed people that were in his way! In the end, he got away.
