Standard: 0.1.1.1 With prompting and support, ask and answer questions about key details in a text

We could use the book to often reference back to the book. We can ask questions like “ how does the work see the cat, how does the mouse see the cat”..

Then continue to point out specific colors to attach to an emotion. Like the mouse sees the cat as scary because the bright red in the back. The mouse thinks the cat will eat him. Reference the size of cat … Is the cat bigger on this page than the other page ? ..

Prior prerequisite would probably be understanding of big vs small, and different colors

Accommodations : 

If student is color blind then as the teacher we could be more detailed on description of image

Assessment could be like a recap of book and ask previous questions we asked before.

Or bring another text similar and point out differences

Is there any prerequisite learning required?  Prior learning?  We all do not view the same things the same way. Ability to recognize words, different points of view (perspectives) 

 

How will you address accommodations?  What modifications might be necessary? Split into groups to allow for less distractions. 

 

Assessment for Learning? Can they compare and contrast, asking if they like it (head up, thumbs up?)
