         <description><![CDATA[<div>Structure:<br>They are made up of 20 different types of Amino acids.<br>Made up of poly-peptides linked by peptide bonds<br>they have these 4 structures<br>1, Primary structure.&nbsp;<br>when the 20 amino acids are in a simple chain with no folds.<br>2, Secondary Structure. This is when the it folds into either aN alfa helix or a beta pleated sheets structure.<br>3, Tertiary structure. this is when a secondary structure folds future more and forms bonds like Covalent, Hydrogen, Ionic, and disulphide Bonds.<br>4, Quaternary stucture.<br>This is when 2 or more Tertiary structure join together in a globular shape.<br><br>Functions :<br><br>structural support.<br>bone, hair, tendons etc.<br><br></div><div>Transporters<br>cell membranes such as protein channels, and in the blood such as oxygen.<br><br></div><div>catalyze chemical reactions enzymes<br><br></div><div>communication between cells much as hormones.<br><br></div><div>defence from disease such as antibodies.<br><br>Example:&nbsp;<br><br>Transport proteins.</div>]]></description>
