It is a culture of giving up what you want now to pursue goals and dreams for the future. It also includes a group of people thirsty for knowledge, and the want to become an educated person. It is a lot of hard work, late nights, caffeine, and the tireless pursuit of a goal.

I have these crazy amazing little humans that need constant love, attention, food, driving, cleaning, shopping, dressing, hair doing, homework helping, tucking in, and again most importantly love. This is a culture of lots of work, little immediate reward. But, oh when the rewarding moments happen they are the best thing in the whole world.

My husband is a firefighter/paramedic and the community we are part of is absolutely amazing! It is a culture of love, support, and super strong people. The firefighters are heroes as everyone is aware, but the wives at home handle life like a boss! Firewives have a saying "if its going to go wrong, it'll happen when he is on duty." When our spouses are on duty they can't come home to help, so fire wives take care of house issues, car issues, kid issues, and if we can't make it work there is always an off duty firefighter willing to step in and help you get it done!

We have to appear put together when the world is falling down around us, and be able to navigate the world in "heels" so to speak.
