Tick tock, won’t stop, and round it goes.”  Those song lyrics make a lot of sense when you think about growing up.  We take time for granted and really shouldn’t. Fast is a great example of taking things for granted and not realizing that we are growing up.

I hope to be her role model, and of course, her favorite “aunt”. This song directly points at my grandfather, who is 73 and has Renal Cell Cancer.  He has undergone three major surgeries in the past two years, and has been a fighter through them all.  “When you’re weak, I’ll be strong, when you let go, I’ll hold on.” These lyrics I’m sure not only mean a lot to me, but also my other close family members.  Having a close loved one battling cancer is not easy.  He is strong, and no matter what, I’m going to love him through it. He is my one and only grandfather left, so I am spending as much time as I can with him because time is priceless.  This song is very special to me.

They are kind of quirky, but still very loving. The song basically talks about your family being there for you no matter what you’ve done, no matter where you are in life, and no matter who you are.  My family is exactly that.  Though they may not support it if I get a sleeve of tattoos on my arm, but they aren’t going to dislike me.  My aunts and uncles, sister, parents, grandparents, and even cousins are the best that there could be, and I’m so grateful for that. I love them, and they love me. This song is sort of funny in a way, and my family is goofy.  It makes a complete connection to my family.  Family is Family made me realize that I have the best family in the world, and the song makes perfect sense to me.
