My name is Louna. I’m 23 years old. At university I study history, philosophy, sociology, psychology, education and english. I’m studying this courses to being school counsellor. I’m not sure if I really want to be a school counsellor but I like the idea to (maybe) have the possibility to change things about education.

During my free time I like to meet my friends and practice sports in nature such as running, swimming, badminton and others.

Hello! I’m Kathleen and I’m 22 years old. I’m learning at university to be a school counsellor. In France, there is a competitive exam to select the school counsellors, so that’s what I’m preparing, after getting my bachelor’s degree of Sociology and a master’s degree dedicated to Gender studies. In my free time -when we have free time- I like to leave the city (by the way I live in Bordeaux) and go to the sea, take a bath if weather permitting… enjoying the calm and the sound of waves. About the Covid pandemic

I was lucky during the covid pandemic because I was near this ocean! I had an office facing the garden and I organized my days to have time to go running or cycling before or after my working days… that king of luck. But I know we weren't all so lucky. Online learning has been complicated for most students. There were many inequalities on this point in France. The return to cohabitation with the parents may have been complicated, for example, combined to economic inequalities.

During COVID-19 pandemic , I was not very impacted because I was living in Martinique and I had the chance to live with my family .

However, I’m aware that this pandemic have had an unknown impact on lot of people especially on young people’s and student’s . Mental health is very important to keep motivation, especially to takes online courses at home . This pandemic will leave an irreversible impact on many people and in my opinion, this is dramatically in some cases .

About Covid, in my personal experience it was a bad period. I lost motivation to learn online, so I had some difficulties to follow my studies. In my opinion, it was also difficult during lockdowns to not be able to see my friends in reality. It created some mental diseases for me like anxiety. Meeting unknown people became hard for me so my social life was impacted.
In Bulgaria, how was class organization during this period ? and how did you feel about that ?

In my opinion, the Covid pandemic and particularly the lockdowns was a difficult time for most people. It was difficult because of the feeling of loneliness. However my personal experience wasn’t really a hard moment. I consider myself lucky because I was with my family in countryside. If I talk about studies it was good to. The online courses was not a problem for me. I worked with my friends through platform such as Zoom or Whatsapp. The main difficulty was that we can’t be make party :(

Je m'appelle Aleksandrina ! J'ai 19 ans et je viens de Ruse, en Bulgarie. Je suis un étudiant de première année à l'AUBG. Je voulais étudier ici, parce que je ne voulais pas partir à l'étranger et je voulais étudier en anglais. Je pense aussi que la communauté d'AUBG est super et que j'apprendrai beaucoup ici. Nous n'avons pas déclaré de majors, mais je veux faire une majeure en Journalisme et Communications de Masse avec une mineure en Littérature. Je veux étudier cela parce que j'aime écrire et lire. Pendant mon temps libre, j'aime écouter de la musique, lire des livres, jouer de la basse guitare, jouer à des jeux vidéo et dessiner.

Bonjour à tous! Je m'appelle Monika, j'ai 20 ans. Je suis né en Italie et quand j'étais au collège, j'ai déménagé en Macédoine. Je ne sais toujours pas ce que je vais étudier, mais je sais avec certitude que ce ne seront pas les mathématiques. J'ai une passion pour l'apprentissage des langues étrangères, et j'ai essayé d'en apprendre plusieurs, comme par exemple : le norvégien, le coréen, le japonais et le grec. J'aime écouter les histoires de vie des gens, il y a toujours quelque chose de si beau et de tragique à apprendre sur chacun.

D'après mon expérience personnelle, la pandémie a eu un impact globalement négatif. Au début, tout le monde était vraiment content de rester à la maison, mais plus tard, nous sommes devenus plus démotivés et seuls. Parfois, toute la situation semblait irréelle, comme être dans un film d'horreur et de science-fiction. Je me suis retrouvé avec ma famille à m'inquiéter pour mes proches, mon avenir, notre situation financière. Tout cela a créé une pression écrasante dans de nombreux aspects de la vie. Ce qui est bien, c'est que depuis que nous avons traversé cette pandémie, nous devenons plus forts et nous devrions continuer! :)

Que pensez-vous des conséquences de cette pandémie ?

D'après mon expérience, la pandémie a bien commencé. J'ai aimé prendre une pause de l'école et rester à la maison. Avant la pandémie, j'étais très stressé par le lycée. Mais après quelques mois, c'est devenu difficile et effrayant. J'étais coincé dans un petit appartement avec toute ma famille. Tout le monde détestait travailler et étudier en ligne (via Zoom) et les gens étaient fatigués et frustrés. En 2021, j'étais trés démotivé et déprimé. Je détestais aussi ne pas voir mes amis. La pandémie a également entraîné des problèmes économiques dans le monde et beaucoup de personnes ont eu difficultés au travail. Le Covid continue mais tout est presque revenu à la normale.
