This quote from Gremio is problematic because he is talking about Katherine as if she is an object that they need to get rid of rather than a person to be respected and cherished. This shows Gremio's motives in that he doesn't truly care about Bianca because if he did he would not have cared if he had to wait for her. He wants to possess Bianca like someone who has an expensive piece of rare art. At the very end of the play, Kathryn explains to the other wifes and people at the dinner that wifes must obey their husbands and do everything they say. This is problematic because Pertrucio has "tamed" her to the point where she has no more self worth.
