When it is even the graph will open up and the repeated root will be graphed with nothing else. If a root of a polynomial has odd multiplicity, the graph will cross the <em>x</em>-axis at the the root.If even multiplicity, the graph will touch the <em>x</em>-axis at the root but will not cross the <em>x</em>-axis.</div><div>As the multiplicity of the root increases, the graph flattens out more and more near the root.</div>]]></description>

So from which the graph first started once it crosses the x-axis at the zero, it will just go back from the same way it came. The Zeros that are odd will always cross the x-axis.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
