         <description><![CDATA[<div>1. I have seen many rhetorical ideas throughout the novel, but the one rhetoric device I saw the most of was symbolism. I think that Upton Sinclair uses symbolism in not only objects, but in people as well. Sinclair also uses devices such as similes, metaphors, imagery, and irony. Sinclair uses things like jargon that make us have to look further into the text to figure out what they mean.</div>]]></description>
