According to lines 137-138, the text says “Greek myths were passed down for thousands of years. There are several ways we have learned about them.” Another way it was important to the Greeks was because myths were helpful in times of need. Lines 44-50 state “Everyday life was not always easy in Ancient Greece. People did not live as long as they do now. Life was more difficult, with no modern conveniences such as heat or running water. People had to kill animals and farm for food. The hardships in there daily lives led the ancient Greeks to look to their gods and goddesses for help.

🉐😎Lexie-
Myths are still relevant today because they contributed to modern life and are still passed down. Lines 8-20 say”What we call classical Greece (from the sixth to the forth centuries BC) gave future civilizations more than just stories. The ancient Greeks made huge contributions to modern culture in Greece and elsewhere. In fact, Ancient Greece is often called the cradle of western civilization. This is because so much of modern life is based on contributions from the Greeks. The United States current system of government, democracy, came from Greek civilization. The Olympics began in Ancient Greece. Great Greek thinkers made biology and medicine. Ancient Greeks also wrote stories and plays that are still read and performed today. Their art and architecture also live in modern times.”
