When I am a bird

When I was flying today the wind was strong and I have explored the place by meeting other birds such as magpies and unknown other birds, I listened to the nature. The wind flows and tree branches made sound around me. Today the wind was super strong and I could even hear the sound. I can see the children is running with the wind pretending like a bird and making sound like a bird.

When I am a kite

Wow it is amazing to fly in the sky. I am a kite,

I like to fly in the sky and I can see everything from the sky. I can even race with the birds. Fly up high it is so much fun and feels like free.

I want to be a bird or kite to fly with the wind because it is link with my childhood where we all fly pigeons in the sky when it is windy or we fly the kite in the sky to feel ourselves as a kite or bird which is link to my identity and the connection where I grow up.

( linking to learning outcomes 1,2 and 4)

After seeing this I felt like the giant came and played with dominos with rocks and left in hurry.

Every time I visited this place gave me this thought that the rocks are just landed to each other the way we play collapsing dominoes with the children in our practice.

Creative play was an important part in my childhood as we had no artificial toy at all. We engaged with each other by creative playing such as involving ourselves to come up with self made music, role play from our social characters, and many more ways.

I have always encouraged children to participate with me to the creative play as example by making paper aeroplanes with them and we do race to the group who can fly the paper plane faster.

Sometimes we play pretend dramatic play to connect ourselves with our society or social interaction. By doing this I connect myself with my childhood along with the children.

Sometimes I grab their attention by singing makeup songs like I did in my childhood and it works. The children laughs by hearing my silly song and move with me to the dramatic play.

According Piaget children develop their cognitive and process their learning through their surrounding environment and movement. In early age (0 to 2 years) the children learn through their sensory experiences such as the sound, music, tone, noise, taste and smell. Which slowly develops their language skills and intelligence ability.

Howard Gardener also believes drama, music and dance develops children cognitive and physical ability.

Maria Montessori believes that the children who has had an opportunity in a learning setting where the child experiences art, music-dance, craft, drama by role playing games and free play they develop their language skills and social skills faster and better. Drama and hands-on practice helps children to find their own strengths and confidence on their learning process.

According Wilson, when a child plays anywhere with anything they can create their play activities from their imagination which helped them to boost their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

The children are always curious and interested to explore the natural world. When they see any animals, they always asked questions regarding that animal sound, food habits and other related topics to understand and then they create the scenario from their knowledge and imagination. Creativity is a holistic way of learning process for every child by giving them free play time where they can have an opportunity to explore their creativity and imagination.

Creative and imaginative play is a practice for children brains to regulate their emotions and wellbeing. The children become more confident by playing with anything such as sticks or pots, free play time with their friends.
