I had to transition to a different learning environment from middle school to high school because i transferred into a different district. Its hard thinking of an empowering experience as much as that sucks but I did have a teacher in high school who no matter what was always there to encourage me in and out of school and I still keep in touch with her now

I felt like my opinions didn't matter in her class and she was always looking for what she wanted to hear not what others said. 

On the bright side, one empowering moment I had during grade school was in high school and my work would often been shown as examples for other students.
