Strategies:

I will look at how to get the students ready, giving them breaks and looking at the environment to see how it can enhance their motivation to learn and to ‘pay’ attention’

Would definitely like to try out being more inventive in engaging the students by changing up the learning environment and methods from time to time.

The way to give work to HA students

Set the right tone n capture the students attention before the start of each lesson

We cant choose the students that we like to teach but we can choose to notice the potential of the child. Don't always jump into conclusion. Believe in the child and make small tweaks to accommodate learning.

One strategy: use current issues to discuss in class as brain breaks!

- Intrinsic motivation can be fostered by celebrating small successes, leading to greater achievements.

- Consider students' biological needs, such as snack and toilet breaks.

- Address external factors like distracting sounds to create a better learning environment.

Take note of the environmental distractions that could affect our student's attention. Be mindful of this and make the necessary provisions to help the students.

I quite like what Mathilda suggested on differentiating homework for the class where weaker students can be tasked to work on selected questions. This is to lighten their WM workload and make their task more manageable. She also suggested how teachers can discuss the difficult questions in class while leaving the simpler knowledge recall questions as homework.

As time is a factor, and we will not always have the opportunity to guide the students individually to aid in their needs, strategies like rethinking the objectives of learning tasks, ensuring tasks are manageable, home time tabling, teacher modelling (e.g. thinking aloud) are suggestions that are beneficial for all students.
