570CE- Born an important member of a Meccan Tribe called the Quraysh

576CE-His mother died. He was brought up by his granddad (who was the keeper of the Kaabah in Mecca)

590CE-He was taken to work in trading camels. He travelled around Arabia.

595CE-He escaped from poverty by marrying a rich woman called Khadija.

610CE-Was visited by the angel Gabriel.

613CE-Began to preach in public. Powerful Meccans are angry.

619CE-His wife died. So does his Uncle, Abu Talib.

622CE-The Hijra migration forces Muhammad out of Mecca to Medinah.

624CE-Muslims defeat a larger army of Meccans.

627CE-Muslims survive Meccans siege of Medinah.

630CE-Muslims take control of Mecca.

632CE-Muhammad died, most of Arabia had been converted to the Islamic religion.
