         <description><![CDATA[<div>Before the stock market crashed, the value of the US stock market had grown immensely (almost doubled). On October 24th 1929, the stock market began its fall. A few days later on October 26th "Black Tuesday" caused a massive drop in stock prices, with 16 million shares being affected. By 1932, stocks had lost 85% of their value.</div>]]></description>
