He focuses on non-traumatic spine surgery, the only truly minimally invasive procedure for the spine. Over the course of his career, Dr. Luis Lombardi has published a number of peer-reviewed scientific papers on non-traumatic spine surgery and presented on the subjects at several national and international conferences. In addition, he published a chapter on the decision-making process in spinal care for the book Percutaneous Discogenic Pain Treatment. Dr. Luis Lombardi studied for his doctor of medicine at Rosario National University in Argentina and then completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the Centenario Provincial Hospital. After working in private practice for two years, he relocated to the United States and became a resident at Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania.
