The booming economy established a new kind of prosperity across americans especially after the hardships that took place with the Great depression and World War II. Because of this improvement, the state of the modern American family also changed. More people were getting married and the population increased at a tremendous rate. This increase of population would help further develop America along with the drive to have the best available appliance just like the surrounding neighbors. This era helped establish a brighter future for the job market as more people aspired to take white collar jobs instead of the precious laborious work that the majority had. The need for automobiles also helped the improvement of the job market as every 7th job was related to them. It was a wonderful time to live for the white population of America, but the black population still had to deal with inhumane hardships and struggled to fight against segregation that damaged the relationships and caused a large rift between the white population as they had to be guided by signs that established their worth not as humans but as the “Colored”ones. So while white people lived happily in their newfound prosperity, blacks had to rally for the most basic of human rights.

The Booming economy of the 1950s changed the lives americans around the country. The creation of suburban areas made it much easier for citizens to find homes and also it provided them a place where it is close to their job or they can find a job. Also a important factor during the 1950s is the G.I. Bill, it gave veterans and soldiers returning from war a chance to pursue their dream and start or complete their education. Also it helped them with payments for their homes, businesses, or farms. Lastly, it provided a source where they can get information about services and jobs. Also there was the baby boom causing the birth rate to skyrocket through the roof. Life in 1950s changed from the taste in music, to the way they lived their daily lives. In conclusion, the 1950s was a time of humongous growth for the people.

The American family has their own house, and black people can join the community too. The economy overall grew by 37% during the 1950s. At the end of the decade, the median American family had 30% more purchasing power than at the beginning. Inflation, which had wreaked havoc on the economy immediately after World War II, was minimal, in part because of Eisenhower's persistent efforts to balance the federal budget.
