1- We believe that it would be better if it were mandatory because that way they opened clearer votes according to the opinion of the people because everyone would vote
2- In second opinion, we think that despite being a bit annoying to be obliged to vote, this would lead to a social liking for the final elections since everyone has voted
3-a country without the obligation to vote, would make it not totally certain that there is a political success which is social discontent
4-participation would be much higher
5-because it is great source of information, when all citizens participate, the concept of 'silent majority' is desactivated.

paragraph 1

Speaking for myself, I believe compulsory voting should be implemented in Chile again because around 55% of the population does not do so only 46.23% people in chile vote for their leaders during elections. The president should be chosen by every person in a country, not by a minority.

paragraph 2

Firstly, statistics by Servicio Electoral de Chile also known as SERVEL reinforce the aforementioned. There's generally dissatisfaction in the population for leaders chosen by minorities (majority in the votes). For example, in 2009 only 6.958.972 people in Chile vote for their president, on the other hand in 2013, 5.697.751 people vote for their president
Secondly, I really think that compulsory voting returns

paragraph 3

Finally, big changes in the country happen when everyone actively participate in the elections. For example, in Chilean National Plebiscite of 1988 around 7.435.913 people participated to decide if Agusto Pinochet wast still or not in power, and in 2020 around 7.562.173 people participated to make a new constitution,

paragraph 4

In conclusion, from my point of view, compulsory voting should be implemented in Chile again, because

only 46.23% people in Chile voted for their leaders, for example, from 2009 to 2013 around 1.000.000 people did not vote, but in 1988 when compulsory voting existed, many people participated to decided if Agusto Pinochet wast still or not in power

The obligatory vote forces people to get more informed and so the results would really show what the population wants.

Further more, it also encourages older people to go. As in the 2017 presidential elections, where the communes with the highest votes were present, a high youth participation rose even 3% compared to other regions. For instance one example is Valparaíso with 2% more participation for to young people than in the rest of the country.

Firstly, from my perspective, the only tool that citizens have to generate real changes is their vote. In addition to social demonstrations, the fact that voting is mandatory will encourage people to inform themselves to vote for those who best represent them and thus generate changes.
For example, Bolivia, people who do not vote are sanctioned with a fine that is accompanied by the prohibition of using certain public services and conducting banking operations. This means that participation at the polls tends to be high and in the same way increases their political understanding.

For instance, I have a friend who had covid-19, and if he had gone to vote, he would infect all personnel who are present, the following example is my uncle manufactures windows, he works individually, so he just got a job the day he should go to vote, if he loses that day, he loses that opportunity to work or earn money.

Speaking for my self, I think voting must be compulsory, More than 60% of the population does not vote for disinterest in politics, for not knowing or for laziness. If we vote on every occasion, we would not have corrupt politicians and in that case there would be more laws to the people' favour. Such as the wihdrawal of 10% of the AFP.

Firstly, from my point of view the Civil Education is very important, since at the time of voting you are choosing who represents you and not being informed one does not take this decision with the seriousness that it should be done. The obligatory vote forces people to get more informed and so the results would really show what the population wants.

Secondly, I really think If young people are forced to vote since they are 18 year olds, this will become customary for them and will not be short of their future votes. Further more, it also encourages older people to go. As in the 2017 presidential elections, where the communes with the highest votes were present, a high youth participation rose even 3% compared to other regions. For instance one example is Valparaíso with 2% more participation for to young people than in the rest of the country.

Finally,I believe forcing people to vote will help the whole country to have a better lifestyle or just a just life, since the decision made will be realistic and over time will help people to be informed and take interest in their own country.

In the 2009 presidential election, electoral participation was 59.2%. After the incorporation of the voluntary vote in 2012, participation in the first presidential round of 2013 was 49.4% and 46.7% in the first round of 2017, that is, 9.8 and 12.5 points percentage less compared to 2009, respectively.

Speaking for myself, I consider compulsory voting should be re-implemented, since in this way people would have a greater political understanding and political disaffection will diminish in great quantity promoting great changes at the national level.

Secondly, I firmly believe that there could be a big change at the national level if all people were forced to vote for those who best represent them. Usually between 70% and 80% vote. While in the optional, between 40% and 50% vote in the best of cases.

https://frecuencianews.medium.com/voto-obligatorio-vs-voluntario-85c76cd3cdbf
