It is described as thin, cold and brittle and is told to be up to 30-70 km thick.
mantel -  It is the earth's thickest layer, it starts 30 km beneath the surface, the mantle’s outermost zone is relatively cool and rigid.
outer core - Made out of iron and nickel however just in liquid form. it sits 5,180 to 2,880 kilometres from the earths surface.
inner core - A solid metal ball that can be described as extremely dense, it is mostly made of iron and nickel. The inner-core spins a bit faster then the rest of the earth  and is almost as hot as the sun.

Discuss ideas why you think they would leave that all for a new unknown land (6 points) ffuamatu https://padlet.com/ffuamatu/5d26ymnddnrvufty/wish/911795831 As a group we discussed the matter and thought that although the Pacific did contain rich soil, warm weather and multiple food types and the list goes on. "They" fled to find something new and geological structures they perhaps have never come across before.  We thought that the one of the main contributing factors is that maybe the discovery of new land was not the original intent, however the weather changes, the land changes and many more changes left them curious.
