I am currently attending the Kendall campus for my major which is Architecture. Kendall campus is one of the few campuses who offer classes for my major. However this is my first online class which I feel a little iffy about because I have never taken an online class. I'm a very punctual student and like to have face to face contact with the teacher to be sure she or he received or did not receive my work, or if I have a question. I live in Kendall and work in downtown at the University of Miami. I volunteer with 8th grade boys at my church. as a teacher and mentor.  I finished my first college class this past semester and I am working towards my bachelors in business. I came back to school not just for myself, but my family. My name is Erika Garcia. This will be my first time attending an online course. I’m very hopeful that this is going to work out for me because who doesn’t love doing work in their pajamas! To start off with this introduction, I am not originally from Miami, FL. I moved down here from Boston, MA about 3 years ago. A bit of an adjustment I wasn’t used to the heat but now I don’t want to go back to the cold. I am married, my husband is in the military, we constantly move around about every 4 years. So, this will be our last year in Miami, FL and then who knows where we will be next hopefully its California or somewhere warm again. I am a mother of 1, a little boy named Aiden. He just turned 2 and the terrible two’s is such a thing and it started when he was 1! You really can’t ever be ready for babies. I wanted to start college again to give my family more of an opportunity. Also, I want to continue learning because there never really is too much to learn.
