To start, we have Yu the Great, He was believed to be a descendant of the Yellow Emperor and was born in the Year of the Tiger at Mount Wen, presently located in Beichuan County, Sichuan Province. His parents were a woman who was a descendant of the Youxin clan and a man named Gun. He was married to a woman who dwelt in Mount Tu, and they became the parents of a son they named Qi. Zhang Heng had lived during the Han dynasty and was an expert in subjects like astronomy, mathematics, since and hydraulics. Zhang was not from a royal family but he was taught Confucianism and after educating himself in various fields he served as a chief astronomer and later as a palace attendant at the imperial court. The next is Zu Chongzhi, this famous man was known mainly for his precise calculations, and his understandings of mathematics, as well as astronomy.

The geography of Ancient China had formed the way civilization and culture had developed. The large land was isolated from a lot of the rest of the world by deserts to the north and west, the Pacific Ocean to the east, and impassable mountains to the south. This had helped China develop and advance on its own with no interruptions of neighboring civilizations. The Yangtze River was one of the main geographical impacts on China, being the third largest river in the world. It helped farmers who lived along the river make rice and start to become wealthy. The land was mainly desert with mountains from time to time.

The Chinese religious beliefs were mainly Confucius, Taoism, and Buddhism. These were considered the "three pillars" of ancient Chinese society. Confucianism is what mainly changed a lot of things in Chinese society, religion back in these times influenced everything in a society and how it was run, and the way Confucianism worked was this. The point of Confucianism is the importance of having a good moral character. It's entirely based around a system of social and ethical philosophy rather than religion. Confucianism was built off of social values, institutions, and transcendent ideals of traditional Chinese society.

One of the Chinese greatest inventions was the invention of paper. The invention of paper had greatly advanced humanity, but it wasn't a eunuch named Cai Lon (ca. 50 AD – 121) made significant innovation and helped drive its widespread adoption. His advanced paper-making technology then spread to central Asia and the world through the Silk Road. The Chinese found writing an important form of art, being so important that writing poetry would earn you class in the social structure. Paintings were also inspired by the poetry created a lot of the time. The image above was one of few art pieces that survived from 1000 BCE to today, carved to have the design of a dragon and a phoenix on it, a cherished Chinese piece.

The creation of Chinas politcal standpoint was created through many bloody wars of years and years to create a unified China. Chinas political system was in shambles back in 1200 BCE. They were currently in the decline of feudalism due to them suffering from a continual dilution of authority. As a state expanded, its nobility acquired vassals, and these in turn acquired their own vassals.

China had a strong society hold during mainly the Song dynasty or in other words what I believe to be Chinas peak before 1200 BCE. China had a strong social structures due to the environmental defense they had with the Himalayans protecting them constantly. The Chinese had developed writing skills and were able to build a stable way of what roles people would be given, and they had no trouble or were in no rush to figure it out because China usually never faced any neighboring societies invading unlike some other societies.

#6 China's cultural aspects included mostly religious aspects like Confucianism and Buddhism as well as Daoism. Confucianism was the religion of respect, this was what created the foundation of China. Confucianism was later turned into Neo-Confucianism after Buddhism and Confucianism combined. Confucianism was one of the few religions that didn't discriminate in any way. It bases itself on good morals and having a golden rule of "Do not do unto others what you would not want others to do unto you." Chinas main great accomplishments still affect the world today. China had created gunpowder, paper, and the compass. The compass is obviously a very important factor in the agricultural life of today, it was the origins of all forms of transportation in which we had an idea of where we were for the first time. Gunpowder was used through a lot of wars, this could have changed the outcome of what the world is today. Paper is also used today as it was mainly used for writing and creating scrolls and to pass knowledge down.
