         <description><![CDATA[<div>2. The article discussed how finding the balance between challenging students, while still providing supports when needed, is key to maintaining enthusiasm around learning. I see many teachers in the building already incorporating many of the suggested practices in their lessons already. Think alouds, modelling thinking, technology tools, are all practices many teachers use already. Working to incorporate more flexibilty in the learning environment and provide more student choice could be a way to continue to grow these practices<br><br>3. I think last year during remote teaching we were forced to think about how we could represent information in multiple ways. Presenting information via text, audiobooks, paper vs. computer, as well as utilizing unit mini lesson videos are some examples. Incorporating video clips, drawings and diagrams are some other ways I could see teachers incorporating the teaching of objectives and teaching points.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Students are always more receptive to assignments with choices. I wonder what these options would look like with writing; it's difficult to see the applications to a straight up writing class. The math examples definitely make sense in this capacity.  I know that I offer different options within the process work, but I would love see more applications to alternatives when the product has to be an essay.&nbsp;</div><div><br><br></div><div><br></div><div>I know that I am more likely to be engaged with visual demonstrations of information. Aesthetics are important to break up monotony and keep my attention. I know that many of my students are the same way; the stimulation and variety help them focus. Visualizing the layout of information can also help with recall. Ideally they become well versed in extracting information from different demonstrations. </div>]]></description>
