The word "Precambrian," means "before the Cambrian period". Since there wasn't enough oxygen for sustaining life, there weren't any plants since plants need oxygen. Even thought there weren't plants in that time, there were sea animals. The ocean had animals like, sponges, sea anemones, jellyfish, corals, flatworms, annelids, and cnidarians. Many volcanoes were erupting, there was continental crust forming, and sedimentation.
