My Perspective Viewpoints on the book

I loved the book in total because it was always something happening in the book that had caught my attention. It was hard to put the book down at times. Something else that I liked about this book is that we could see the viewpoints of different characters that were embarking on the quest as well. Meaning I didn't just see Annabeth's viewpoint on the quest, I got to see Percy's, Leo's, Jason's and Piper's perspective as well. I also like the main antagonist Gaea because she was a villain with layers and it makes you understand on why she is doing the things that she is doing within the book. Actually looking back on the book I could connect with some of the characters like Annabeth because she was the one that was trying to keep the peace with everyone. She cared for everyone's needs and wanted everyone to come out with a benefit in the end. I like to do the same because I'm sort of a people pleaser like she is. Although neither me or her let people walk over us we still have a heart for everyone. I like that the book reminded me of one of my good traits. It made me feel good as a person just thinking about it.

I like this image because in this book, for me it was one of the climaxes within the book. This was when Jason and Percy were fighting over a certain cause in which I will not explain because I am recommending that you read the book. Anyway, it was pretty cool to read and use my imagination of the action that had went down during the battle.

3 favorite quotes in the book

" We are staying together," He promised. "Your not getting away from me. Never again." This quote is important to me because it shows how much Percy really truly genuinely cares about Annabeth. I like to see men be emotional because in society there is this stereotype about how men shouldn't be emotional or intimate or cry. Although Percy wasn't crying or anything, but it's like I felt those words while I was reading it. It gave me a piece of my imagination back when it comes to men committing to their feelings. (pg 425)
"Then Percy let go of his ledge, and together, holding hands, he and Annabeth fell into the endless darkness.” This is another one of my favorite of my quotes because not only was it a climax for how the story could have possible could of ended but again it showed how much that Percy legit loves
Annabeth. I can't emphasize the word "loves" enough because not only did Percy jump without question, he did it and explained to Annabeth that whatever happens that they would go through it together. I like seeing real genuine love in fiction stories because it shows me that the author believes in real love as well. Not just me.
“I could have killed you.“Or I could have killed you,” Percy said. I only had liked this quote because of how both Jason and Percy had made up after fighting. It showed me that they have a sense of humor for things that are not too serious and that they can move past it. I think it was mature of them to make fun of it honestly. (pg 126)

I recommend this book to the reader that is interested into seeing real relatable subjects that could be happening in their life. This book is full of action, adventure, love and so much more. I think that this book is also good for people that might want to learn certain morals, life lessons or values that they could apply in their own life. If you're the type of reader that loves action twist, love and deception as well then I think that this book would be of you're interest most definitely.

A Song that may bring remembrance to this book

A song that I would recommend would be "Everybody Wants To Rule the World" by Lorde. This song relates to one of the themes through out the series because there is always a new enemy that the team ends up having to face. It's like everyone is trying to take over the world for power or whatever hidden reason that they have. I see this theme a lot in the book and through out the series as well. I think that this song definitely fits the description of "The Mark of Athena" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaVA6sgOpws
