         <description><![CDATA[<div>This photo is of the old southern regional college<br>&nbsp;campus in Armagh which is currently closed for construction. The new campus at Armagh, is due for completion in early 2020, is to be constructed on the existing Lonsdale Road site.          <title>Courthouse</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This photo is outside the courthouse. The courthouse was built between 1806 and 1809 and was designed by Francis Johnston. The court is used by county court and district judge and deals with adult and youth criminal proceedings. Armagh courthouse underwent complete reconstruction in the mid-1960s and by 1971 plasterwork, staircase, balusters and most of the woodwork had been replaced.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is the Armagh planetarium which was established in by doctor Eric Mervyn Lindsay 1965 and underwent a major refurbishment on 2006. The planetarium is currently holding the largest public telescope. The Armagh Astropark, which opened in 1994, is a scale model of the solar system and the Universe contained in the grounds of the Armagh Observatory.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The turning point in Armagh was originally a bronze public statue placed on St Anne's Square in Belfast on 1992 and was moved to Armagh on 2012. This artwork is surrounded and supported by four figures which are 2 males and 2 females, The turning point is hollow on the inside and the figures appear to reach out and dance on the inside. <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>HM Prison Armagh</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>the construction of this prison began in 1780 and was used to mostly take female inmates. During the period of the internment 33 woman were interned from 1973 to 1975. At the start this market opened as a corn market in 1827 selling grain, grass and seeds but then it became a cattle market intil the 1970s and in the 1990 it evolved and became todays variety market selling a wide range of goods selling fruit, veg, fish, meat and it not limited to those it also sells sweets and other goods.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The church was and is the centre of the Church of Ireland.The church itself has been destroyed and rebuilt 17 times. The inside was renovated and restored under Dean Eoghan McCawell (1505-1549). St.Patrick founded his first stone church on the site now occupied by St. Patricks. known as Sally Hill in the year 445.          <description><![CDATA[<div>The main feature of the work is a large two-meter diameter sphere made from solid polished grey granite. The brightest stars and other features of the night sky have been mapped onto this large 2 metre diameter sphere. this grey granite is posted on top of four stone slabs with the history of astromy and the moon landing up until the modern day.</div>]]></description>
